Holiday Knits

I actually finished all of my knitting in time for Christmas this year. I knit a scarf for my daughter:

Since she's a teenager it's a little hard to tell, but I think she likes it. She had mentioned that she wanted a scarf earlier in December. When I asked her how wide she wanted it she answered, "Not too wide. But not too narrow either." Sigh. Thanks for the info, Goldilocks. I decided on knit 2, purl 2 ribbing. It's very stretchy that way. The yarn is It's Tubular X 2 from Scarlet Fleece that I bought at The Celtic Knot yarn shop. Since it's sock weight I used it doubled which gave a nice overall marled color effect.

For my son I knit Extermiknit!

This is a great pattern. I actually followed it exactly as written (and how often do you hear my say that?) The bobbles were a huge pain. I'll probably do another but do the bobbles in the main color. Daleks come in so many incarnations that pretty much anything goes colorwise. Never heard of a Dalek? Check out Doctor Who. This present was the hit of Christmas. My son absolutely loved it.

So did the cat.

You could do the bobbles separately and sew them on later, that might be easier.
